Tournament Rules
PLAYING SYSTEM
The tournament is played according to the rules of the International Floorball Federation (IFF). Teams are divided into groups of 4 (with an option for 5 teams). In the group stage, teams will play a round-robin format (every team plays every other team). The group stage is followed by a preliminary round where group winners play against the last-placed teams in the groups, and second-placed teams play against third-placed teams. Winning teams advance to the A Bracket, and losing teams advance to the B Bracket, and they do not cross over afterwards.
A win in the group stage earns 3 points, a draw 1 point, and a loss 0 points. The ranking in the group determines the seeding for the play-off. If two or more teams have the same number of points after the group matches, the following criteria will decide the ranking/further advancement:
- Number of points achieved in head-to-head matches (in the case of a mini-table, points from all matches).
- Goal difference from head-to-head matches (in the case of a mini-table, goal difference from all matches).
- Total number of goals scored (in the case of a mini-table, goals scored in all matches).
- Drawing of lots.
| Žraloci | Sharks | Rekiny | Body | Skóre | Rozdíl | Pořadí | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Žraloci | 10:4 | 3:4 | 3 | 13:8 | +5 | 1. | |
| Sharks | 4:10 | 4:1 | 3 | 8:11 | -3 | 3. | |
| Rekiny | 4:3 | 1:4 | 3 | 5:7 | -2 | 2. |
All play-off matches in both brackets are played using a single-elimination system. The third-place match is played in the A Bracket, while in the B Bracket, only the 1st place is contested. In case of a tie after the regular playing time, three penalty shots will follow. Three players from each team will be selected for the penalty shots. The numbers of the three players from each team, along with the order in which they will take the shots, must be announced to the referees (ideally submitted on paper). The starting team will be decided by a coin toss. If the score remains tied after three shots per side, extra sudden death penalty shots will follow (a series of one shot per side until a winner is decided). Any field player may participate in the sudden death penalty shots without restriction.
In the event of a low number of teams in a certain category, there may be only one group with more than 4 teams. Teams will also play a round-robin, but the play-off will be resolved by placement matches.
The tournament organizer reserves the right to change the playing system and modify the rules in case of a low number of participants in any category.
PLAYING TIME
The playing time in the group stage and play-offs is measured as gross time (running clock). The last minute of the second half is measured as clean time (stopped clock). The clock is stopped for a goal scored, injury, or to clarify a penalty. If the goal difference is 10 or more goals, the time is measured as super gross time (running clock, but stops only for injury and clarification). The interval (break) is two minutes. A time-out is not permitted in the group stages.
The playing time in the play-offs is also gross time, but the last three minutes of the second period are measured as clean time. The interval is three minutes. One time-out is permitted.
The playing times in the group stage and play-offs are defined in the Tournament regulations.

PROTESTS
Any protest must be submitted in writing to the Tournament JURY or the hall manager no later than 15 minutes after the match ends. The fee for submitting a protest is 1,000 CZK. If the protest is rejected, the fee is forfeited. The JURY's decision is final.
INSURANCE
Participants start at their own risk,
TEAM ROSTER AND STAFF
Each team must submit an online roster of players, including jersey numbers, dates of birth (note: year of birth is sufficient), and the staff team, on the website (via the Team Zone) no later than the start of the tournament. Only players listed on this roster and wearing a tournament bracelet on their wrist may participate in the match. Players from a younger category of the same club may participate in the team, but they must be listed on the roster before the first match. Once the first match has been played, the roster cannot be supplemented with a new player. Only players participating in the specific match are marked.
PLAYER PARTICIPATION
A player may only play for one team during the tournament. The exception is a player from a younger category playing simultaneously in an older category team of the same club, which is permitted if the match schedule allows and if they meet the age requirement. The player must also be listed on the rosters of every team they play for. In case of a confrontation, the team is obliged to present identity documents or other documents that clearly identify the player and their age. The opponent in the disputed match may also request a confrontation upon payment of the protest fee. In the event of an unauthorized participation of an older player, the match in question will be forfeited with a score of 0:5.
TEAM COMPOSITION
We expect the team composition to be based on club affiliation for the majority of players. Combined teams, regional and district selections, or national teams may also register for the tournament, but always in a higher category than the players' age (e.g., players born 2008 /U17/ and younger – the team registers in the higher category /Juniors/). The only exceptions are the Junior and U19 Girls categories, which do not have a higher category.
MATCH REPORT
The match report is fully electronic, and there is no need to fill it out manually. Before the match, it is only necessary to update the roster at the scorer's table in case of any changes. Otherwise, the original roster entered into the system will be used.
WAITING PERIOD
The maximum waiting period is 10 minutes. After this, the match will be forfeited 0:5 against the delayed team. In case of two forfeits due to late arrival for a match, the team will be excluded from the tournament, and the results of their matches will be annulled.
PLAYER EXCLUSION
A red card (Match Penalty) issued for a technical foul (incorrect equipment, not listed on the roster) leads to exclusion until the end of the match, with no further penalty following. If a non-technical red card is issued, the penalized player/coach cannot play in the team's next match either. During this time, the Tournament JURY will decide on the length of the penalty and will inform the player no later than the start of the following match in which the player would be eligible to play.
JERSEY COLOURS
In case of identical jersey colours, the team listed as the visiting team in the match schedule must change into a different coloured set.
PRE-MATCH WARM-UP
Warm-up before the match cannot take place on the pitch (except for final matches) but only outside the hall or in adjacent areas.
CHANGING ROOMS
Due to the limited number of changing rooms in all halls, these will be used only as through access. After changing before the match, the team must take all personal belongings in bags onto the pitch. A different changing room may be assigned after the match. The organizer is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings throughout the tournament.
MATCH SCHEDULE
The organizer reserves the right to change the published schedule. In this case, all team leaders affected by the change will be informed.
AWARDS
In each A Bracket category, the top 3 teams will be awarded medals (according to the team roster). The winner of each category will receive a traveling trophy. In the U9 (Přípravka), U11 (Elévové), and U13 (Mladší žáci) categories, the 2nd and 3rd place teams will receive trophies. For the B Brackets, only the first place will be awarded medals. The award ceremony will take place immediately after the end of the respective final match.
